Did you know Oregon residents do not pay California sales tax on vehicle purchases?


 Provided they register the vehicle in Oregon, and take delivery of the vehicle in Oregon, they are exempt from California taxes. Here at Mid-City Honda we do this quite frequently for residents of Brookings and Curry County but it applies to all Oregon residents.

How It Works:


The process is quite simple. Once you sign the paperwork for your new vehicle, one of our employees will then deliver it to you at the DMV in Brookings. There you will pick up a registration application, have the vehicle verified and find out the registration amount. Then it’s off to a notary to have a few documents for the state of California notarized stating that you took delivery of the vehicle in Oregon. Our employee will bring all the paperwork back to the dealership with a check for the DMV fees, and then we will send off the completed application packet to the state DMV office for you.
